Hi All,
Just a quick email to let everyone know there is now a new Jenkins "Extreme Feedback" device with a twist. This one automatically coordinates a foam missile counter-attack against the developer who breaks the build! It's all in good fun and has been a real hit in our team so we've decided to generalize it and put it out the Jenkins community. You can read about our adventures including a "demonstration" video here: http://www.papercut.com/blog/chris/2011/08/19/who-broke-the-build/ The code's over at github under the name 'Retaliation': https://github.com/codedance/Retaliation If Lava Lamps, like pink curtains and shag pile, are not your dev team's style then maybe "Retaliation" is for you :-) Cheers, Chris |

This is hilarious! You should hyperlink this from "Extreme Feedback Device" section in https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Use+Jenkins On 08/21/2011 06:19 PM, Chris Dance wrote: > Hi All, > > Just a quick email to let everyone know there is now a new Jenkins > "Extreme Feedback" device with a twist. KK - when you see things like this, do you usually forward to the community email address? I linked to this blog post from FB last night. Today we'll Tweet it. I love sprinkling humorous, developer content (related to Jenkins and/or CB) in our various social media. I think it engages developers a bit.
Are there specific places where this kind of post/blog is more readily found? I can troll through them occasionally. I now subscribe to the Jenkins users email alias, so I will catch anything there, just as I did with this one.
Thanks for forwarding this to the Jenkins email list! The blog is funny, Jenkins-specific, and is really well done. Heidi

Can we look forward intercontinental missile launcher in future releases? This would be usefull in case that the dev team is spread over the world:-) > Hi All, > > Just a quick email to let everyone know there is now a new Jenkins > "Extreme Feedback" device with a twist.
