Building from SVN

Richard Bywater
Hi,

Just wondering if someone could explain to me why, when doing a "mvn
install", the Accurev plugin portion of the build goes and downloads
the Hudson WAR file from java.net?

I decided to try and start building from source to a) keep up with
latest changes and b) to reduce the amount of bandwidth involved in
downloading multiple 18Mb WAR files on a regular basis but this
behaviour defeats one of these purposes....

Thanks in advance for any insights...
Richard.

I would guess it is something to do with the fact the plugins are built against the current release. The reason you see it against the Accurev plugin is that is the first plugin to be built.

I have noticed that the jabber plugin did not build last time I ran it though - probably a quick fix but I dont know if anyone is working on it.

Kohsuke keeps the plugins on the last release of Hudson, while main is on the -SNAPSHOT for the next release.

In order to build the plugins, the test phase in the Maven lifecycle must be completed.

All plugins have a dependency on hudson-war.war, so this needs to be downloaded.

Accurev, being alphanumerically the first, has to download it first
