Cannot clone Hg repos ... env variables ?

Olemis Lang
Hello !

This should be a problem with an easy solution but for some reason the
problem persists after trying a few tricks :( . The fact is that I
installed a Windows slave. It is launched via WMI . The service is
running ok , in fact at the beginning  everything is ok. I configured
a build job that checks out an Hg repos . When I ran build failed with
message

{{{
ERROR: Failed to clone http://host/hg/repos/
java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "hg": CreateProcess error=2,
The system cannot find the file specified»
}}}

Ooops ! Mercurial was not installedin the slave , so I do it and
include bin folder in PATH . I check once again by launching cmd and
trying hg command for multiple users . I also checked that PATH is
correctly added as a system-wide variable (not just for an specific
user)

I tried once again and got the same result .

I started and stopped the slave service several times by using Hudson
node management interface . I also tried to restart it directly in the
slave .(i.e. Compter > Manage > Services > Hudson slave at ... ) but
still doesn't work .

Q:
  - What should I do ?

PS: I'm looking for a solution different to «restart the server» , if
possible ;o)

On your wmi launched slave, if you configure a job having no source
control section and an execution step of just invoking "set" (or cmd /c
set), in the path variables shown upon execution, do you see the
mercurial bin directory in that path?  Just asking, as last time I
checked, WMI launch would result in the service starting up under the
local service account.
