Debugging options

Gabriel Garcia
Hi,

I'm trying to find the cause for this
https://hudson.dev.java.net/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=2062 and was
wondering if there's any way to log which process Hudson is launching
(I think via Launcher).

I'm looking for a non-programatic way (maybe some startup option),
otherwise I'll need to hack around.

Thanks!

Gabriel

We can probably add additional logging, so that you can enable/disable
them at runtime.

Re: Debugging options

Fair enough - I'll keep poking around and if I see a suitable place
I'll add it, see that it's useful (at least for this kind of issues)
and suggest a patch. Going a bit slowly as I'm trying to
memorise/understand how Hudosn kicks processes, how it maintains
streams between them, how/when they're closed, etc etc.

Thanks,

Gabriel

The Launcher class is the only place where it forks new processes.
So that's where you could put more logging.
