Downloading hudson.war and plugins using IE

Erik Ramfelt
When I download the hudson.war file using IE, IE will try to rename
the file to hudson.zip. Does anyone have a clue why that is happening?
When I download it using Firefox, it will not be renamed. Of course it
is possible to rename the hudson.zip to hudson.war but it is some what
annoying.

The same thing happens when I download the plugins using IE, it will
try to download a plugin.zip instead of a plugin.hpi. I guess that
could be a problem if a user forgets to rename it to plugin.hpi?!

I guess this is due to some configuration on the dev.java.net webserver?

Regards
//Erik

Unfortunately, this is standard behaviour in Internet Explorer. My recommendation is to use a different browser.
