Executing Builders/Publishers when only submodules of a multimodule Mavenbuild are invoked

Johannes t.
Hello Community,

at our company I do use some Maven jobsĀ  with multiple modules, and every so-and-so-often a new module appears. My CI hook directly invokes the /build URLs of the submodules to shorten the build time and make the CI feedback faster.
I've got the job configured to publish its artifacts on success (which are quite some) and kick off one other job to generate documentation, some more to check validity with some other JDKs.
Our other team members rely on the most current Snapshot artifacts being pushed to our Nexus Repository.

Now here's the problem: If I start the entire Job, every thing works fine (or does not - if crap got comitted), I a sub-module build gets invoked, it works fine, although it skips the extra steps and the Artifact publishing - which is a pity.
Is there a way to enable this? Is there a feature request for it? Or do I have to always kick off the entire job?

Thanks for all your answers :D

Regards,
Joti
