FW: Reg : configuring the UI to execue shellscript

Bhanu.Ganti

Hi,

I am testing  Hudson  to use a tool for doing the builds, I have a problem , in my workspace  there is a  script  in the folder, say

Abc/kalyan.sh.

 After checking  box  for executing the  shell script I placed Abc/kalyan.sh  . but the build failed  saying the script cannot be executed

Can some one suggest   why it is happening, I am using this script to build  jar  files and export them to the machine where  these jars will be deployed for testing.I mean the build  is done here and ftp  to another machine where deployment happens(I am using tomcat on linux)

 Best Regards

Bhanu Kalyan

AFAIK after a checkout your script is not executable (it misses the x
attribute in the unix file stats). Use "chmod u+x abc/myscript.sh;
abc/myscript.sh" or something like this.

Sounds like the file doesn't have 'x' bit set. I suggest

   chmod u+x Abc/kalyan.sh
   Abc/kalyan.sh
