Global build stats

Frederic Camblor
Hi there !

I am wondering ... Is there some way (or hudson plugin) existing allowing to build reports (graphs) about :
- Number of build failed per [PERIOD] for [TARGET_JOB]
- Number for "warned" build per [PERIOD] for [TARGET_JOB]
- Number for successful build per [PERIOD] for [TARGET_JOB]
- Number of builds per [PERIOD] for [TARGET_JOB]

PERIOD would be { "per day", "per week", "per month", "from date to date" ... }
TARGET_JOB woule be { "1 job", "1 group of jobs (example : a job tab)", "globally" ... }

Re: Global build stats

Lots of these features are present in Bamboo (see <a href="http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/&#39;Number+of+Build+Failures&#39;+Report">http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/BAMBOO/'Number+of+Build+Failures'+Report for example)

Am I the only one complaining about this lack ? :-)

I haven't heard of a plugin which does something like this.
But it shouldn't be difficult to write it as a plugin.

So, you should step forward and write one :-)

Re: Global build stats

Frederic Camblor
Okay !

Sounds a good exercise to learn creation of hudson plugins :-)

I'll try this next week end.

Re: Global build stats

Frederic Camblor
Hi there !

Alpha release of the global-build-stats plugin is now available for hudson greater than 339 (refresh your plugin list if it doesn't appear : it's freshly new :-))
Its name is global-build-stats-0.1-alpha1.

For now on, there is no UI to configure the graph (but you can hack : just have a look at the graph URL). In the "true" 0.1 version (I'll try to release on sunday), you will be able to configure (and persist) graphs configuration.

For the official 0.1 I'll make an announce on the ML.

Cheers.
