How to detect Windows program failing because of missing dll?
I am writing a regression test for a Windows program and found that the program failed to run because of a missing dll. This is easy to fix by modifying the system path variable to include the dll’s path.
However, I am concerned that the command failed silently. ERRORLEVEL was evidently not set and Hudson could not, therefore, report a problem.
Please can anyone suggest a way of detecting this failure case?
