How to encode the LDAP managerPassword?

taciano.tres

Hi guys:

I'm trying to install Hudson by script, and need to set the managerPassword element in $HUDSON_HOME/config.xml, but the field seems encoded.
How I can encode the plain text password I have? Our LDAP bind account is public (read-only) so the password is not secret, and the bind authentication is for accountability pourposes only.
       Thanks in advance.

visit Manage Hudson / Configure System in your Hudson and configure LDAP
there.

To expand on that (since your goal is scripting), use the web interface to
configure it, then use whatever string it puts into config.xml.
