OK, so somehow subversion (when invoked from Hudson) thinks that the workspace
is already up-to-date, when in fact it is not.

Can you run "which svn" from your shell and then set that absolute path as
"subversion executable" in the Hudson system config screen, just to make sure
that you are using the same svn?

I'll check the subversion issue tracker to see if there's anything related to this.

One theory is that somehow "svn update" is using a different workspace, and ends
up updating files in the wrong place.

I see that your pleiades project is about SunGrid. Are you a Sun employee? If
so, maybe I can visit your office to look at this problem on site, which would
be easier for both of us (I work at SCA14.)

One more question. Are you using master/slave set up?
