I really don't understand your objection to including something like "current
branch: [branch]" to the job summary pages and "branch: [branch]" to the build
summary pages.  Adding a column to the dashboard was admittedly a bad idea.

I wasn't submitting this RFE as "me, the admin", I was submitting it as "me, the
guy trying to figure out which branch someone else's job was building."  Of
course Hudson has no way of knowing which aspects of a job are the most salient,
and neither do casual users of Hudson.  Only the job owner does.  You could add
branch info to your job name, but unless you work on that project and know the
context, you probably wouldn't have any idea what it meant.

Is the cvs branch info useful to know?  probably.  So, why not make it easier to
find in Hudson?
