[JIRA] Created: (HUDSON-7051) Add annotation support to testResults

Hudson issues mailing list
Add annotation support to testResults
-------------------------------------

                 Key: HUDSON-7051
                 URL: http://issues.hudson-ci.org/browse/HUDSON-7051
             Project: Hudson
          Issue Type: New Feature
          Components: core
            Reporter: abayer
            Assignee: abayer

Currently, hudson/tasks/junit/CaseResult/index.jelly calls hudson.tasks.test.TestResult.annotate(string) on the test error details, stacktrace, stdout, and stderr. All that method does is turn http/https URLs into links. Is there a good reason to not just use the console annotator logic here too, so that it can be extended? I can't think of any reason, but I may well be missing something.

abayer resolved HUDSON-7051.
----------------------------

    Resolution: Not A Defect

Oops - just realized that TestAction.annotate does more or less what I want already.
