Jenkins not running on apache server

Hi all,
I am getting the below error while starting the tomcat server , trying to run jenkins on tomcat server, how do i troubleshoot this problem?
i am using JAVA 10 and tomcat 8.5.3
Please help me.

 Jenkins does not support jdk 10. Use jdk 8.
