Modify behavior of log out link

Greg Lammers
Is there any way to change what Hudson does when you click the 'log out' link?  I'd like to make it so that Hudson does its standard logout operation and then sends a redirect to an external site.

Would it work if we make it a part of SecurityRealm? Or are you asking
this as an user, instead of as a plugin developer?

I suppose this makes sense for those Hudson that don't even have
anonymous read access, and if that's the intended use case, there's not
much a plugin can do to set a meaningful value.

But then, you asked this in the dev list, so I'm not sure.

Something in SecurityRealm would be fantastic.  Sorry for the confusion about the topic - my intent was as a plugin developer.

OK. I can add it. Out of curiosity, where do you want to take the user to?

Thanks!  I know you probably hear this all the time, but Hudson is an amazing project that you somehow just keep making better.

This request is related to using Siteminder for authentication - the way our setup works, both log in and log out are handled by a central server.

Ah, so this is more like a part of the log out process, not so much
about where the user should land after a logout.

I'll capture that in the documentation.

I remember discussing a possible SiteMinder support with someone on the
dev list or the users list. Was that you? Any chance your siteminder
integration will be made available to the Hudson community?
