Out of Memory for FreeStyle Maven job

Chris Graham-2

I can easily set the -Xmx option for a native maven job under the advanced options.

How do you do the same for a free style job?

Set the options in the OS.  If you run out of memory during a maven execution here's how to add more memory resources to maven:

If it's a "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" problem:
  export MAVEN_OPTS="-Xms256m -Xmx512m"

If it's a "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space" problem, then
  export MAVEN_OPTS="-XX:MaxPermSize=512m"

For a windows machine, set the corresponding environment variables.
