Perforce on Linux/Tomcat not working

smclurkin
I'm able to get the Perforce working on Windows with Tomcat but not on Linux/Tomcat.  When entering my username/password I receive twoerror messages that say "Failed to open connection to: p4", The only log messages are:

19 [http-9062-4] INFO perforce - Executing: p4 user -o
99 [http-9062-2] INFO perforce - Executing: p4 workspace -o hudson
449 [http-9062-4] INFO perforce - Executing: p4 describe -s 0

How can I set the loglevel for the plugin so I can get more logging?  Or does anyone know how I can get this to work in Linux/Tomcat?

I don't think turning up the logging will show any more log statements.  I'm running Hudson inside tomcat using the perforce plugin without any trouble.  If you send me more of the log maybe I can see more about your problem.

+1.

I  don't have any issues running p4 plugin under tomcat as well. If you provide more information would be happy help as well.

I also run Perforce plugin in a Tomcat/Linux environment.  I have had errors like this before.  To my surprise the problem was the Perforce could not find the "p4" binary, which I swore was on the PATH.

I use the absolute path to the executable.

Thanks for all the responses.  What seemed to be the issue is that p4 was located on a SAN and for some reason hudson couldn't see it.  I moved it and it now works
