RE: FW: Attempted build in Hudson causes Subversion OutOfMemoryEr ror

Doucette, Charles
Yes, our installation of Hudson is indeed layered upon Tomcat (5.5 to be
specific).

Since the file $TOMCAT_HOME/bin/catalina.sh did not already exist, I wasn't
sure that I should create it.

Instead, I edited $TOMCAT_HOME/conf/server.xml

and added these lines (to the existing section which defined environment
variables):

  <Environment description="" name="CATALINA_OPTS" type="java.lang.String"
value="-Xmx256m" />

This seems to have solved our build problems.

I'm surprised if others haven't run into this problem before.

Perhaps this could be added to the doc?

Thanks again!

Chuck

We did. But we instantly applied the -Xmx "fix" and went on. :-)

Yeah, it's probably a good idea to keep some documentation about various
containers.

Just the other day there was some report about enabling security and
Jetty. That kind of information would be useful.
