Receiving lots of warnings: [WARNING] Component returned which is not the same manager. Ignored. component=org.apache.maven.profiles.activation.FileProfileActivator

Trojan, Krzysztof

Hi,

I encounter lot’sa of warnings of the type limilar to that in the log snippet below:

[INFO] Scanning for projects...

[INFO] Reactor build order:

[INFO]   SomeProject

[INFO]   SomeProject1

[INFO]   SomeProject2

[INFO]   SomeProject3

[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

[INFO] Building Corebank Project Core Master Build

[INFO]    task-segment: [install]

[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

[WARNING] Component returned which is not the same manager. Ignored. component=org.apache.maven.profiles.activation.FileProfileActivator@47744774

[WARNING] Component returned which is not the same manager. Ignored. component=org.apache.maven.profiles.activation.FileProfileActivator@47744774

[WARNING] Component returned which is not the same manager. Ignored. [hidden email]

And so on, sometimes hundreds times (actually, in one module it may be some 20 warnings while in other 200, during same build).

The warning is usually about profile activators, from build to build it changes, seems random (AlwaysOnProfileActivator, PropertyProfileActivator, …)

No direct impact on the build is observed.

Same build run with mvn command from commandline, swith command same as the one cited in the log (except Hudson specific build interceptor), does not result with the warnings.

Some system details:

Hudson 1.359 running inside Tomcat 6.0.20

root@xxxserver:~# uname -a

Linu xxxserver 2.6.31-20-generic-pae #58-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 12 06:25:51 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

root@xxxserver:~# java -version

java version "1.5.0"

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build pxi32devifx-20100127 (SR11 FP1 ))

IBM J9 VM (build 2.3, J2RE 1.5.0 IBM J9 2.3 Linux x86-32 j9vmxi3223ifx-20100125 (JIT enabled)

J9VM - 20100122_52103_lHdSMr

JIT  - 20091016_1845ifx1_r8

GC   - 20091026_AA)

JCL  - 20100127

Maven 2.2.1

This pollutes the output log, which annoys the users, but I am also concerned with a potential impact on the build.

I know similar reports have been filled, but I cannot get the answer how to fix the issue.

Regards,

Krzysztof Trojan
