SVN server clock out of sync

Felix Dorner-2
Hi,

I installed a post-commit hook in our svn repo. This hook triggers a build on the hudson server. The last commit successfully triggered a build, but upon hudson's svn update no changes were detected, together with this warning:
WARNING: clock of the subversion server appears to be out of sync. This can result in inconsistent check out behavior.

I checked the clocks on both machines: The svn server is about 30 secs in the future relative to the hudson server's clock. Is such a small offset really the issue here?

Thanks for comments,
Felix

Hi,

didn't you synchronize the servers via ntp, cause 30 seconds is a large time gap...

I would suggest to use ntp to synchronize the servers...

Kind regards

Re: SVN server clock out of sync

Hi guys

NTP solved our time sync issues as well. We have our HUDSON server running
inside VMWare, which was causing the clock drift.

Cheers
Julian
