Strange Maven problem

Andrew Bayer
Hey all -

I'm running a multimodule project through Hudson for the first time, and for some reason, on one of the modules, it gets to compilation and then seems to exit, with no further detail. It does this on this module every time, no matter what I do. I'm still on 1.293 (can't upgrade 'cos the JavaNCSS plugin blows up horribly on 1.296 and later). Here are the last two lines of the console output for the module:

[INFO] Compiling 11 source files to /ws/bxb-ccbu/ccbubld/hudson/workspace/ea-mavenize/hudson_ea_mavenize_view/vob/cvp1/messages/common/target/classes
[HUDSON] Archiving /ws/bxb-ccbu/ccbubld/hudson/workspace/ea-mavenize/hudson_ea_mavenize_view/vob/cvp1/messages/common/pom.xml to /usr/local/hudson/jobs/ea-mavenize/modules/com.cisco.ccbu.expert-advisor$messagecommon/builds/2009-04-24_18-11-16/archive/com.cisco.ccbu.expert-advisor/messagecommon/1.0-SNAPSHOT/pom.xml
That's it. I ran with -X -e passed to mvn, and still didn't get any additional information. Anyone have any ideas?

Ok, it turned out to be an encoding problem, but I'm still concerned that the compilation error didn't show up in Hudson. Am I missing a setting or something?

Re: Strange Maven problem

FYI, moving up to 1.301 (albeit a slightly hacker 1.301 to get Javancss to work) seems to have cleared this up.
