adding build version

Rakhim Davletkaliyev-2
Hello, everyone.
I want to add another variable to a build along with build.number - something like build.version, which will store a line from external text file. I want to show the value of this variable in the history widget between a build number and a timestamp. But I am really confused with the structure of hudson. Can anyone give some advice, please?

Thank you!

You may want to take a look at the Groovy Postbuild Plugin:  http://wiki.hudson-ci.org/display/HUDSON/Groovy+Postbuild+Plugin

It would allow you to add your string *after* each build number and timestamp in the Build History widget.
