build other projects

slide
Is it currently possible to specify a regex or pattern for the
projects to build after a project completes? Basically, I have a SCM
update job that, once complete, causes all my other jobs to be
scheduled. As I add jobs, I don't want to have to go in and add them
to the SCM update "build other projects," I'd just like to have it
build everything. Am I missing something?

thanks

There's a UI feature you can leverage here, based on the fact that
internally, the build trigger "build after other projects" is handled
the same as the post-build action "build other projects."

When you add a new job foo, on foo's configuration page, specify a
build trigger for it: "Build after other projects are built" and list
the upstream job.

Then notice that if you go to the upstream job's configuration page,
"foo" will appear in the list of "Build other projects".

This saves you from going to the upstream job's configuration page,
but granted, it's not as simple as a regex.
