cobertura plugin, source highlighting

Hartmut Lang

Hi,

I use hudson 1.307 and the cobertura plugin 0.8.8.

I have a maven-project, and I can find the “coverage report”.

But in the coverage report if I go down to a single file, there is no highlighting in the source-file.

Shouldn’t there be one?

Regards,

Hartmut

If it's the most recent build, and the build was successful, then yes,
I would think so.  This was broken in 0.8.7, but should be working in
0.8.8.

RE: Re: cobertura plugin, source highlighting

David,

Finally i found out that i can see a "highlighted" result.
But only if i use a specific way to "click-down" to the coverage-report.
I used to go this way within the Hudson GUI of my maven-build:
- go to the job
- go to the modules
- select the specific module
- select the coverage report

I end up in an URL like:
http://host/hudson/job/soi-ims-utils/com.company.soi$soi-ims-utils/23/co
bertura/
Then I can see no hightlighted sources.

But if I go this way:
- go to the job
- select the latest build
- select the Coverage Report (on left menu)
I end up in an URL like: http://host/hudson
/job/soi-ims-utils/23/cobertura/com_company_soi_ims_utils/Filename_java/

There I can see the highlighted sources.

It seems that there are two places where coverage reports are stored.
The one directly below the Hudson-job. And the one below the maven
module.

Regards,
Hartmut

Hmm... I'm less familiar with the Maven side than the Ant side of the
plugin.  There might well be a bug that makes it so that the
highlighting only works for some paths and not others, though I'm not
aware of anything that is likely to have changed this behavior
recently.  Could you please submit a issue ticket for this?

You're welcome.

Have you tried out the new version?  If so, and it fixes the issue for
you, I'll mark the ticket as closed.
