fingerprinting...

Michael Wiles
how does fingerprint dependency work?

or should I say, how does a project know which files it is using? The hudson scan the full directory path looking for files with the same fingerprint as the one that it does have finger prints for?

The reason I ask is that my jars are not stored off the build directory, they're stored at a specific location on the disk... Will hudson still be able to tell me what projects use those files?

Is there some facility that I can use the archived artifacts from upstream projects?

I think so. Just configure the fingerprint recorder to record the
fingerprint of that file, too.

Usually I use wget or Ant <get> task to download from the permalink.
