releasing a plugin fails

Arnaud LACOUR
Hi guys, I was trying to release my plugin this morning and the
release:prepare goal bails out with
mvn -Djava.net.id=al_xipe release:prepare
[INFO] Scanning for projects...
[INFO] Searching repository for plugin with prefix: 'release'.
[INFO] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] Building Unnamed - gcal:gcal:hpi:0.1
[INFO]    task-segment: [release:prepare] (aggregator-style)
[INFO] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] [release:prepare]
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[ERROR] BUILD FAILURE
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] Missing required setting: scm connection or developerConnection
must be specified.
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] For more information, run Maven with the -e switch
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

[INFO] Finished at: Sun Jul 22 11:41:14 CDT 2007
[INFO] Final Memory: 4M/9M
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------

I know there are has been a bunch of plugins released recently so help
is welcome here.

this plugin publishes the activity of a job to a given google calendar.
it's a 0.1 so it is pretty dumb right now. it creates an event of the
right duration with the name of the job, the build number and the
status. It also uses the hudson base url from the smtp configuration
panel to provide a link to the build status page in the calendar
event.
Since I can't check it in I figured I'd attach the hpi along with this email.

feedback and ehancements welcome.
enjoy,

OK, this makes sense. The release plugin wants certain entries in POM
that are missing.

Once we integrate the source under hudson/plugins, you should be able to
inherit all the necessary entries from its parents.
